Product details Tenney Environmental designs and manufactures thermal vacuum chambers (TVACs) used by the space industry for testing a variety of products. Tenney TVAC chambers are designed to simulate various types of pressure and altitude conditions making them ideal for testing products used in space travel, satellites and other equipment for the space industry. The Tenney thermal vacuum chamber designs vary from 1 foot diameter by 1 foot long horizontal section to 6 foot diameter by 7 foot long horizontal sections or more, large enough to fit almost any piece of equipment. Tenney can design and provide cylinder, square, and many other configurations as your project requires. Tenney thermal vacuum space chambers are constructed with a stainless steel vacuum vessel and temperature conditioned internal platen and shroud to simulate outer space conditions. The TVAC chamber, machinery and instrumentation are manufactured as one unit and can reference OSHA, NEC and ASME Code for Unfired Pressure Vessels. Safety interlocks and features are provided for the space chambers and operating personnel. Tenney offers mechanical or liquid nitrogen fluid cooling systems as well as gaseous nitrogen recirculating with an LN2 flooded system to meet the extreme temperature ranges required in modern space vehicle and components testing. Vacuum system design capabilities range from oil sealed or dry style roughing pumps and cryopump or turbomolecular ultra high vacuum pumping systems depending on the customer specific requirements. Performance Temperature: -70°C to +125°C (-94°F to +257°F) -150°C to +150°C (-238°F to 302°F) LN2/GN2 Systems Available Flooded LN2 Shrouds to -184°C (-299°F) Vacuum Bake Out Systems Available Tolerance of ±1.0°C after stabilization Pressure Range: Site level to 1 X 10-7 Torr The system can attain 5.0 x 10-6 within four hours if required
